SAN/EMC ADMINISTRATOR

Elite Systems is looking for Storage Attached Networks (NASs)with emphasis on EMC products in UNIX environments including Solaris and AIX. Administrators are to support customers located throughout the Washington metropolitan area. Assignments include installation of hardware software and Long-Term On-Site tours to major commercial and Government installations. Must have 3 years minimum experience in the following:

  • Storage Area Networks
  • EMC Symmetrix
  • EMC CLARiiON
  • TimeFinder
  • PowerPath
  • SRDF


PLANNING AND SCHEDULING ANALYST

We are looking for Planning and Scheduling Analyst to join our team of developers and database designers. The team has been working on multi-year contract for a Federal Agency.

Must have Earned Value Methodology & Reporting (BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, EAC) in addition to MS Project or similar automated tools. Must have experience in planning and tracking progress for large-scale software development projects, 300B reporting, and other Federal government reporting requirements.

Experience/Special Skills:

  1. Excellent communication skills including technical writing are essentials.
  2. Testing background can be beneficial.
  3. Position is available for full-time employee or contractor.

SENIOR SOFTWARE TESTER

To provide system analysis and programming to support of the furnished hardware and software, and selected third-party software. Qualified candidates will thoroughly test software applications in a complex and integrated Windows 2000/Oracle/Java client server environment. The position will require the candidate to participate in the design, testing and verification of Oracle Forms, Java and Oracle database client server applications. The Software Tester will also be responsible for establishing test environments, developing test scenarios, writing test plans, documenting bugs, and communicating with the development, helpdesk, and technical writing teams. In addition, the tester will communicate with management regarding testing status, product defects and production installation issues.

This position will also require some knowledge of configuration management and the use of PVCS Version Manager. Applicants must be fluent in Oracle and Windows 2000 environments, and have strong software testing experience. The candidate must be familiar with QA test and bug reporting concepts. Test tool automation skills, especially with Mercury's WinRunner and LoadRunner, PVCS Tracker and knowledge of HTML are highly desirable. Experience with web-based server applications and reporting systems is a bonus.

Education Required: Minimum Bachelor's Degree

Experience/Special Skills:

  1. Candidate must have at least 8 years experience working in a software development environment with 4 years in software quality assurance and testing.

SYSTEMS ANALYST

To provide system analysis and programming to support of the furnished hardware and software, and selected third-party software.

Experience/Special Skills:

  1. Must have ten years of experience with Unisys A Series or ClearPath ALGOL, COBOL ANSI 74, DMS II, CMS, TCPiP communications and MCP operating system, and a comprehensive knowledge of the Unisys ALGOL and OCALGOL programming languages.
  2. Five years of experience in supporting and administering Unisys A Series and/or ClearPath systems.
  3. Five years of experience in operations and development support on Unisys A Series and/or ClearPath systems.
  4. On Unisys A Series and/or ClearPath systems, possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair a comprehensive range of system problems including performance problems, network outages and disk crashes.
  5. Three years of experience with the Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 and/or Windows 2000 Professional operating systems.
  6. Plus 1- at least one year of experience with the Asgard Open/ A web product.
  7. Plus 2- at least one year of experience with the Unisys BNAv2, NAU software products and the CP2000 communications processor.


SYSTEMS SECURITY EXPERT

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to use his/her software engineering skills, leadership and management skills to lead the technical efforts to resolve challenging problems demanding innovative solutions. He/she will use their knowledge and experience in network security technology including network vulnerability analysis and application level security on projects of various sizes. He/she will be required to analyze system requirements, and define software requirements.

Education Required: BS or MS in Computer Science or engineering degree

Experience/Special Skills:

  1. 6-10 years experience in systems engineering and project management in networking.
  2. Demonstrable management/leadership experience is mandatory.
  3. Experience with software and hardware integration is desirable.
  4. Firewalls, VPNS, and ATM experience required.
  5. Knowledge of IW issues in telecommunications networks is desirable.
  6. Must be able to demonstrate problem solving. Strong communications skills are required.


UNIX ENGINEERS (Closed)

UNIX Applications Engineers:
Do system administration work on applications run on large scale, multi-tiered servers and include areas like manufacturing, finance, payroll, inventory mangement, customer service etc. Applications running include SAP®, Vantive and Oracle. For high availability (24x7x365), the servers will be clustered with automatic failover (HP's M/C serviceGuard) and have triple mirrors on high-end EMC storage.

Senior Solaris Systems Administrator:
Have full understanding of the big picture to include architect, long term IS planning and implementation. In depth knowledge of Solaris® VM, Veritas® HA, EMC and NFS. Working in a team envoirnment.

Sun Microsystems Computer Engineers:
Have at least 3 years working knowledge of Sun Solaris, Sun Hardware including servers and workstations. Responsibilities include support, installations, upgrades, and updates.


WINDOWS 2000/NT SYSTEMS ENGINEER (Closed)

Experience/Special Skills:

  1. Experienced in Windows® 2000/NT Server Clustering.
  2. Compaq Proliant Server configuration, installation and management, scripting, esp. w/perl w/Win32 libraries and batch job scheduling (Windows Scripting Host, Visual C++ and/or Visual Basic programming would be a plus).
  3. Windows NT® server configuration and administration, including: Compaq hardware, RAID disk array configuration and management, NT, Oracle®, Microsoft BackOffice®: SQL Server and Systems Management Server (SMS), network printing, system backups, performance management and capacity planning, etc.
  4. Systems architecture and standards development, documentation and dissemination.
  5. Technical team/project leadership and communications skills.
  6. Knowledge of Windows NT (workstation and server) software installer snapshotting, sanitizing and repackaging (DLL checking and file version management).
  7. TCP/IP networking, DHCP and Ethernet switch management and configuration.
  8. Network monitoring and troubleshooting (e.g. SMS monitor trace and interpretation).


WINDOWS 2000/NT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (Closed)

Experience/Special Skills:

  1. Administration work on Compaq® and Dell® servers.
  2. Experience with managing and supporting applications running on NT to include Microsoft BackOffice software, Lotus® Notes, and systems managment servers.
  3. Some scripting experience is highly desirable.
